When is it time to recycle your car?
Let’s face it…nothing lasts forever. At some point your car is going to start costing more money than it’s worth to keep on the road; but how do you know when it’s time to have your car recycled?
First off, trust your instincts. As the person spending the money to repeatedly repair your car, you know best whether or not it seems reasonable to keep it on the road. Ask yourself: “what have I spent on repairs in the past couple of years? Could I be saving money by driving something newer?”
Beyond this, have a conversation with your mechanic. Although it may mean less business for them, they should be able to give you an honest answer about the state of your automobile.
