What Are After Market Car Parts?
What are after market car parts? This is a question that can often stump our customers. Put simply, after market car parts are any part for your vehicle that is not purchased directly from your car’s manufacturer. Instead of purchasing original equipment from the manufacturer, vehicle owners today have the option to purchase the same part from a variety of different manufacturers. These manufacturers carry products that fit your vehicle, but at a fraction of the price.
A great way to think of these after market car parts is similar to the store brand at a grocery store. When shopping at a grocery store, you will see that for every brand name item, there is a store-brand version of the same product. For example, whether you’re buying Premium Plus crackers or store brand “salted-top” crackers, you are ending up with the same product. The same can be said about after market car parts.
At Logel’s we have a variety of after market car parts right in our shop in Kitchener. We know that when it comes to buying parts for their car, even our price-sensitive customers want to make sure they’re getting safe, quality parts. This is why we only carry CAPA (Certified Automotive Parts Association) certified parts that have been pre-tested for fit in vehicles. However, it is important that customers know that CAPA certified products are only available for body panels, or anything outside of the vehicle.
