When is it time to recycle your car?

 In Uncategorized

Let’s face it…nothing lasts forever. At some point your car is going to start costing more money than it’s worth to keep on the road; but how do you know when it’s time to have your car recycled?

First off, trust your instincts. As the person spending the money to repeatedly repair your car, you know best whether or not it seems reasonable to keep it on the road. Ask yourself: “what have I spent on repairs in the past couple of years? Could I be saving money by driving something newer?”

Beyond this, have a conversation with your mechanic. Although it may mean less business for them, they should be able to give you an honest answer about the state of your automobile. Let them know that any time a shop refers a client to us and we purchase the car to be recycled, we give them a $50 credit.

Most importantly, get in touch with us; we’d be happy to give you a free quote. We factor in the vehicle make, model, year, weight and mileage to determine its value. Compare the number we give you with what it will cost to keep your car on the road, and you should have a good idea of which direction to take.

When making this decision, keep in mind that if a car is in really rough shape, the money spent on it will only provide a temporary fix. A car is worth more to us if its parts can be reused, which means we can give you more money towards something newer and problem-free.
