Where can I recycle my car in Kitchener/Waterloo, Guelph or Cambridge?
Do you have an old car that’s taking up valuable space in your garage? Would you like to get rid of it knowing that you’ve done your part to ensure the safety of our environment?
Logel’s Auto Parts is an auto recycling facility located on Bridge Street in Kitchener, Ontario, and we’ve made it our mission to maximize re-usable materials and to limit environmental impact when we scrap cars. This isn’t the case for all scrap facilities, however. Many allow heavy metals and toxic chemicals to leak into the earth’s soil and ground water, which can have a long-lasting negative impact.
There are plenty of environmentally-friendly reasons to properly recycle old cars and their parts and we are proud to offer this service to the people of Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph and Cambridge.
What makes us the obvious choice for car recycling?
Logel’s was established in 1959 and has since adopted the government-run Retire Your Ride Program. We firmly believe that it’s our responsibility to properly reuse or dispose of old car parts that may otherwise go to waste or harm our environment. We are members of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA), which guarantees that our processes meet the standards set in place by the Canadian Auto Recyclers’ Environmental Code (CAREC). In addition, OARA recently introduced a policy that requires new or existing members to be audited by a third party, which means that we are routinely evaluated to ensure our standards are where they need to be.
A ‘Gold Seal’ stamp next to our name on the OARA website suggests that we’re succeeding at maintaining our high standards for environmentally sound scrapping
