Why Logel’s Cares
Many people ask us what makes Logel’s Auto Parts different. Is it our family history? Or commitment to our community? Or how about our passion for helping the environment? Maybe it’s all three.
Family History
Logel’s Auto Parts is a family owned and operated Auto Recycling Facility in Kitchener, Ontario. Since Clarence Logel first opened the doors in 1959, we’ve been committed to proving the best auto recycling services in Kitchener. Three generations later, and current owner/operator John Logel Jr. still upholds the practices his grandfather put into place years earlier.
Community Involvement
Outside of our family, we believe in helping the amazing community we’re so happy to be a part of. Each year, as a member of the Ontario Auto Recyclers Association (OARA) we participate in the Tire Take Back event. This is an annual event where we invite anyone in the community to drop off their used tires and the recycling fees we normally collect from OTS for the tires will be donated to the Sunshine Foundation. The Sunshine Foundation is a Canadian charity dedicated to helping dreams come true or children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
Environmental Leaders
When it comes to the environment, we believe in being leaders in our community. Through automotive recycling 84% of a vehicles materials are put towards building new products, such as new vehicles and cameras. This means that the amount of vehicle parts that end up in landfills is reduced significantly, and that’s a good thing. When dismantling the approximately 7000 vehicles that come through our doors each year, we ensure that all hazardous materials are removed and recycled according to government specifications. This eliminates the chance of hazardous waste contaminating our beloved environment.
The combination of our long family history, our community involvement, and our environmental commitment, makes Logel’s Auto Parts stand out from the crowd.
