Best Maple Syrup Festivals in Ontario
Although it’s hard to believe, winter is slowly drawing to a close. And with this change in the seasons comes one of our favourite times of year: maple syrup season! In Ontario, we are lucky to have some of the best maple syrup festivals in the world. Here are some of our favourites!
Elmira Maple Syrup Festival
Date: April 1st, 2017, 7am to 4pm

This one-day festival is the world’s largest single-day maple syrup festival! Located in Elmira, Ontario, just north of Kitchener-Waterloo, this long-running festival includes a pancake breakfast, a huge selection of craft and food booths, a dog show, music and much more! The hardest part will be fitting everything you want to do into one day.
Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival
Dates: March 5th – April 3rd, 2017 (Stouffville, Woodbridge, Halton Hills); March 12th – 20th (Orangeville)

The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival takes place in four towns across Ontario, and an unlimited general admission ticket gives you access to all four. Each location will feature pancakes, demonstrations, pony rides and a wide range of other activities for the whole family.
Maple in the County
Dates: March 25th & 26th, 2017

Check out the beautiful and often overlooked Prince Edward County at Maple in the County. This unique festival brings together sugarbushes and maple syrup farms who open their doors and show visitors the ins-and-outs of maple syrup production – and you’ll be able to purchase their goods, too! Plus, businesses and restaurants throughout the county participate with seasonal activities.
Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival

2017 will mark the Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival’s 21st year, and this year’s event will be complete with craft vendors, All Day Pancakes with fresh local syrup, live entertainment, and much more. The small town of Sunderland is a great getaway for city dwellers, located northeast of Toronto.
